La Asociación de Surf Adaptado de Costa Rica le da la bienvenida al High Fives Costa Rica Open Pro de Surf Adaptado 2024.

Es un placer tenerles a nuestro lado para continuar haciendo historia en lo que será la segunda parada consecutiva del Tour Mundial de Surf Adaptado Profesional de la AASP aquí en Costa Rica.

Esperamos que disfrute de nuestro país, cultura y comida, pero sobre todo de la ola de clase mundial de Boca Barranca, que es la segunda izquierda más larga del país del Pura Vida.

1. Pago de inscripción.

Las inscripciones abren el día lunes 20 de mayo y cierran el sábado 15 de junio 2024.

Para inscribirse deberá llenar el formulario en el siguiente enlace: Registration Form una vez que llene el formulario se le enviará un link de pago para que pueda completar la inscripción formalmente. El costo de la inscripción es de $250usd.

El Check-In del Evento y la clasificación serán martes 18 de junio, 2024 a partir de las 2:00 pm en el Fiesta Resort.

Si se hospeda en el Fiesta Resort, el personal de recepción le indicará dónde está el salón para el Check-In del Evento. De lo contrario, su nombre aparecerá en la lista para que los guardias de la puerta principal lo dejen entrar y le den indicaciones.

2. Alojamiento.

El Fiesta Resort es nuestro hotel anfitrión. Es un hotel todo incluido frente al mar ubicado a media milla de la ola. Cuenta con precios especiales que el resort ha ofrecido para los participantes del evento:

Para reservar con este precio especial, debe comunicarse con la ejecutiva de ventas Mayela Calvo al correo electrónico: mayela.calvo@fiestaresort.com con el título Habitación Surf Adaptado y tu nombre. Por ejemplo: ‘’Habitación Surf Adaptado Miguel Corrales’’.

INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE: Al 28 de mayo ya el Fiesta Resort no cuenta con habitaciones disponibles. Acá les compartimos algunas sugerencias de alojamiento alternativo:

3. Para el transporte desde y al aeropuerto.

A continuación, las recomendaciones:

A- Il Viaggio CR es una empresa que cuenta con transportes accesibles, estos vehículos cuentan con rampas. El costo de una via es de $292usd. El atleta debe mandar un correo a agostina@ilviaggiocr.com y reservar con al menos una semana de anticipación.

- 2 unidades Hiace. Tienen rampa eléctrica y cabe 1 silla anclada. Más 5 espacios dentro de la unidad.

- La Iveco Daily con roll away ramp. Caben 1 silla anclada y 5 asientos. O, 2 sillas ancladas y 4 asientos.

- Una Fiat con rampa plegable. Caben 1 silla anclada y 7 espacios. OJO, la capacidad de peso de esta rampa plegable es 275kilos.

B- El año pasado trabajamos con Javier Transfer quien es un proveedor de transporte turístico con servicio y vehículos de alta calidad (como Minibus Toyota Hiace high top, 2023 para 15 pasajeros) además de experiencia trabajando con personas con discapacidad y el equipo en cuanto a tablas de surf, sillas de ruedas, etc... Los precios de Javier son:

- $150 ida desde (hacia) el Aeropuerto de San José hasta (desde) el Fiesta Resort en Puntarenas, de 1 a 4 personas. (Cobrará $10 por persona extra a partir de la 5ta persona)

C- Esteban Salazar quien es local de Puntarenas, cerca del área del evento, también trabaja con vehículos de alta calidad y tiene vasta experiencia en turismo también. Los precios de Esteban son:

- $130 ida desde (hacia) el Aeropuerto de San José hasta (desde) el Fiesta Resort en Puntarenas, de 1 a 4 personas. (Cobrará $10 por persona extra a partir de la 5ta persona)

4. Para transporte terrestre Fiesta Resort - Evento - Fiesta Resort.

Al igual que el año pasado contaremos con 1 Minibús y 1 Camioneta como transporte oficial del evento entre el Fiesta Resort y la Zona del Evento para todos los atletas, oficiales, entrenadores y asistentes y simpatizantes de los atletas que se hospedan en Fiesta Resort. Si viaja con entrenador, asistentes o cualquier otro familiar que se hospedará en Fiesta Resort con usted, envíenos sus nombres completos para que podamos registrarlos en el servicio de transporte.

5. Zona del Evento.

El Boca Barranca Beach & Surf Resort, ubicado frente a la ola, nuevamente será el anfitrión de la Zona del Evento, la propiedad cuenta con amplio parqueo, acceso a la playa, seguridad, baños accesibles y una gran área verde y jardines para la comodidad y bienestar de todos.

The Costa Rica Adaptive Surfing Association welcomes you to the High Fives Foundation Costa Rica Open Pro of Adaptive Surfing 2024.

It is a pleasure to have you by our side to continue making history in what will be the second consecutive stop of the AASP Professional Adaptive Surfing World Tour here in Costa Rica.

We hope you enjoy our country, culture, and food, but above all the world-class wave of Boca Barranca, which is the second longest left in the country of the Pura Vida.

1. Registration / payment.

Registration opens on Monday, May 20, and closes on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

To register you must fill out the form at the following link: Registration Form. Once you fill out the form, a payment link will be sent to you so you can formally complete the registration. The registration cost is $250 usd.

Event Check-In and classification is Tuesday, June 18, 2024 starting at 2:00 pm at the Fiesta Resort.

If you are staying at the Fiesta Resort, the reception staff will tell you where the room is for Check-In of the Event. Otherwise, your name will be listed for the guards at the main gate to let you in and give you directions.

2. Accommodation.

The Fiesta Resort is our host hotel. It is an all-inclusive beachfront hotel located half a mile from the wave. It has special prices that the resort has offered for event participants:

To book with this special price, you must contact the sales executive Mayela Calvo at the email: mayela.calvo@fiestaresort.com with the title Adapted Surfing Room and your name. For example: ''Miguel Corrales Adapted Surfing Room''.

3. For transportation to and from the airport.

Below are the 3 recommendations:

A- Il Viaggio CR is a company that has accessible transportation, these vehicles have ramps. The cost of one way is $292 usd. The athlete must send an email to agostina@ilviaggiocr.com and reserve at least one week in advance. These are what they offer:

- 2 Hiace units. They have an electric ramp and can accommodate 1 anchored wheelchair. Plus 5 spaces inside the unit.

- The Iveco Daily with roll away ramp. 1 anchored wheelchair and 5 seats fit. Or, 2 anchored chairs and 4 seats.

- A Fiat with a folding ramp. 1 anchored wheelchair and 7 spaces fit. NOTE, the weight capacity of this folding ramp is 275 kilos.

B- Last year we worked with Javier Transfer who is a tourist transportation provider with high quality service and vehicles (such as Minibus Toyota Hiace high top, 2023 for 15 passengers) as well as experience working with people with disabilities and the team regarding surfboards, wheelchairs, etc... 4. For ground transportation Fiesta Resort - Event - Fiesta Resort.

Like last year, we will have 1 Minibus and 1 Van as official transportation of the event between the Fiesta Resort and the Event Area for all athletes, officials, coaches and assistants and supporters of the athletes staying at Fiesta Resort. If you are traveling with a coach, assistants or any other family members who will be staying at Fiesta Resort with you, please send us their full names so we can register them for the transportation service.

5. Event Area.

The Boca Barranca Beach & Surf Resort, located in front of the wave, will once again host the Event Zone, the property has ample parking, access to the beach, security, accessible bathrooms and a large green area and gardens for comfort and well-being of all.
